The Jyoti team recently organized awareness and training sessions in three schools of Bagerhat district—BPMG Rahmania Girls High School, Panchgaw MM High School, and Janshakti Girls High School. Dina Afsana, COO of Vertical Innovations Limited, personally led each session. The schoolgirls participated enthusiastically and shared their thoughts openly.
Through these sessions, students learned about menstrual hygiene management, product usage, and responsible disposal. Moreover, they discovered how Jyoti vending machines provide affordable and private access to sanitary napkins inside their schools. Each girl felt encouraged to discuss menstrual health confidently.
Uttaran, a leading NGO, has partnered with Vertical Innovations Limited to strengthen this effort. It has taken the initiative to deploy Jyoti sanitary napkin vending machines in these schools. Therefore, students now have continuous access to safe and hygienic products whenever they need them.
Vertical Innovations ensures that every machine runs smoothly. The team regularly supplies sanitary pads, performs maintenance, and creates awareness among users. As a result, girls stay in school during their periods and avoid the discomfort of missing classes.
Furthermore, Jyoti’s digital system supports cashless payment options through Jyoti Cards and mobile wallets. Consequently, even rural girls are learning digital skills while managing their hygiene needs.
The collaboration between Uttaran and Vertical Innovations demonstrates how technology and community partnerships can transform menstrual health in Bangladesh. Together, they promote confidence, equality, and well-being for young girls.
Ultimately, the Jyoti initiative continues to inspire change. It not only improves hygiene access but also encourages open dialogue and empowers the next generation of confident, healthy women across Bangladesh.
