Jyoti by Vertical Innovations Limited recently installed five Pro+ multiproduct sanitary napkin vending machines in five schools in Munshiganj Sadar Upazila. The project was carried out in close collaboration with the Upazila Administration to ensure menstrual hygiene access for schoolgirls.
Better Access, Real Choices
Every girl deserves comfort and dignity during her period. Yet, many students still face challenges due to limited access to the right products. Therefore, Jyoti introduced vending machines that offer multiple napkin types, including belt and panty system pads.
Girls can now choose the product that fits their needs. Moreover, they can buy it instantly using Jyoti digital cards or mobile wallets like bKash. As a result, students enjoy safe, private, and affordable access while learning digital payment skills.
Community Benefits and Awareness
The project goes beyond technology. Jyoti’s team conducts Menstrual Hygiene Management sessions to teach girls proper usage and disposal. Teachers and parents also join these sessions, which helps break stigma and encourage open conversations.
Furthermore, the initiative creates ripple effects in the community. Families become more aware, health improves, and absenteeism drops. With pad prices as low as ৳6.5, access becomes both sustainable and inclusive.
Driving Sustainable Impact
Through this effort, Jyoti strengthens its mission to end period poverty in Bangladesh. By combining innovation, awareness, and partnerships, Jyoti empowers girls to attend school confidently and live with dignity.
