Jyoti now operates in 38 districts across Bangladesh. Rajbari became the latest district to join the network. Jyoti installed four Pro sanitary pad vending machines in Kalukhali Pilot School, Suryadia Modapur High School, Akhorjani High School, and Majhbari Harivanga High School. Thus, Jyoti achieved another important milestone.
As part of the deployment, Jyoti also began awareness activities. On 23 November, the team arranged a menstrual hygiene session at Harivanga High School. The students joined with great enthusiasm. They learned proper menstrual hygiene practices. They also learned how to use the Jyoti vending machine installed at their campus.
All the sanitary pad vending machines offer both belt and panty system pads. Therefore, girls enjoy better product availability. The pads remain affordable because prices stay in single digits. Moreover, Jyoti Cards ensure smooth and cashless transactions.
The awareness session focused on healthy menstrual habits. It also highlighted the importance of menstruation. Additionally, the trainers encouraged girls to reject harmful taboos. As a result, the students felt more informed and confident
Jyoti continues to reduce the digital divide while expanding affordable menstrual hygiene access. It does so through smart technology and community engagement.
The Upazila Parishad of Kalukhali sponsored the vending machines. Furthermore, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohua Afroz and Acting Family Planning Officer Sutapa Karmakar played key roles in this impactful initiative.
